I create each of my glasswork pieces by hand in my studio in Sequim, Washington. I design custom homes by day and love to discuss all aspects of design.

About FormFire Glassworks

Amy HolmsPhilosophy:
My architectural background has led to a love of clean, colorful and modern styling. I am currently working to translate this aesthetic into the fluid medium of glass. One of my favorite comments about my work is that my beads are like 'liquid color.' I am thrilled by the combination of pure color and clean design with the transparency that glass affords me.

Glasswork:
I strive to produce the highest quality modern lampwork glass beads and jewelry. I use Effetre and Vetrofond glass from Italy, Reichenbach glass from Germany, and Bullseye, Double Helix, R4 and CIM art glass from the United States.

Metalwork:
Most of my metalwork is sterling silver except for some of the pre-made spacers I include with your beads at no extra charge. I use fine silver (99.9% pure) on some of my beads as stated in the description. All of my silver cored beads are smithed by hand, providing you with a finished looking bead that is gentle on your stringing material and ready-to-wear.

Background:
I have a Masters in Architecture, design custom homes in Southern California by day, am an active mom of twin girls, have taken up rowing, and try to fit all of the rest of this in between.
